A HOLE IN TIME – an archaeological excavation is a journey in time, a journey to a place that has been. It is a journey into the ground. With tools in the hand and attentive eyes it is a journey in search of the unknown. In the earth lies remains that tell earlier times history and for a moment the narration of the time is illuminated through the earth that builds it.
